We met a few short years ago ... just kidding. Some of you may know our love story and how our different personalities meshed, but for those of you that do not know, we met at a dance club in Chicago where Ricky tried saving Delilah from dancing on top of the bar. Just kidding again. Ricky approached Delilah at the bar and they stood there talking for hours. He called her the next day and was intrigued by that fact that she had traffic court for a speeding ticket that morning, and asked her out on a date that evening. He took her to see Pan's Labyrinth at the old Lake Theatre in Oak Park. We then realized that even though Ricky is loud and goofy, and Delilah is more straight and narrow, we shared very similar interests in movies, music, food, and travel.

Fast forward to last June 2023 where Ricky proposed to Delilah at Palmisano Park bringing Cubby, their dog, as his wingman. Ricky had been telling Delilah for a few weeks that he wanted to take Cubby to a park because "he was getting old", but did not necessarily want to take him to a dog park. On a beautiful Saturday afternoon, Ricky brought Delilah to a section of the park where he had coordinated a beautiful picnic and got down on one knee. Delilah ecstatically said "yes" and we headed to our surprise family gathering to celebrate our engagement.

Fun facts - Ricky and Delilah's dad's names are Ramiro and so are their brothers. Ricky is from the North side and Delilah is from the South side. "Different worlds" according to Ricky. We both have birthdays on the 22nd. Ricky's nieces used to take dance lessons from Delilah's cousin at Pitrowski Park, but our paths never crossed at any events or functions. Pitrowski Park is in the South side which also explains a lot. Nevertheless, our future was meant to be.

Our love for travel is why we decided to get married in beautiful Costa Mujeres alongside our family and close friends. We hope you can join us on this very special and exciting adventure!
